There are so many things you can do with the Lightstrip Plus. Here’s how to get the most out of it
Flexible lighting to fit your home
This 2m light strip can be bent, shaped or cut to give you flexible lighting exactly where you want it. With a high output of 1600 lumens, it’s more than a decorative accessory. And with 16 million colours to choose from – as well as warm to cool shades of white – you’ll find the perfect backdrop to match your activity or mood. It easily attaches to any solid surface, using the adhesive backing, and you can extend it up to 10m around the room, with the Philips Hue 1m extension strips.
Plan your lighting around your lifestyle
Use the Philips Hue app to make the light strip fit in with your daily schedule. For instance: set the lighting to come on at sunset or ease into the day by waking up to warm, natural light. Create alerts so that the light strip flashes when it’s time to carry out a task or schedule the lights to turn off automatically each evening. And when you’re away, enjoy peace of mind by managing your lighting remotely.
Turn lights on with your voice
Control the light strip with the Philips Hue app or use your voice by connecting a hands-free device, like the Amazon Echo for extra convenience. There are so many apps that work with the Philips Hue lighting too: transform your room into a Halloween scene, recreate a disco hall, or sync your lighting with the film you’re watching to create a fully immersive experience.
It’s quick and easy to attach the light strip to any solid surface – and if it isn’t long enough, simply connect the 1m extension strips to increase its length
Measure the surface and make sure it’s clean so the light strip will stick easily;
Remove the backing tape from the light strip. Press it firmly onto the surface, while taking care not to bend the strip beyond 90º. Cut the strip to your preferred length along the scissor marks;
Open the Philips Hue app and in the settings tab, click on ‘add light’. Then add it to one of the rooms you’ve already set up or create a new room.
